Frankel: The Official Story

Frankel's perfect record speaks for itself. With 14 victories from as many starts, he has been described as the best racehorse of all time.

The colt named in memory of the great American trainer Bobby Frankel amassed earnings of £3 million in winning ten Group 1 races. He started favourite every time he ran, rewriting records with joyous abandon. From his virtuoso performance in the 2,000 Guineas to his breathtaking sequence of triumphs as a four-year-old, Frankel delivered one sensational performance after another in a career of remarkable consistency. It culminated on Champions Day at Ascot, the setting for an emotional farewell to a horse whose deeds touched so many people in all walks of life.

Commissioned by Frankel's breeder Juddmonte Farms Ltd and narrated by Steven Berkoff this programme features unique and insightful interviews with members of Team Frankel. It documents every one of Frankel's 14 victories in full, in the process recreating his career from its first, formative days. Frankel's achievements may never be matched.
